A suspect in the New Orleans truck attack, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, has been found to have posted listings for guns and ammunition on the firearm sales website Armslist.com. The listings were made under the username 'shamjabbar' with a Houston location. Jabbar's email address is also linked to accounts with the same username on other websites. Additionally, some of the Armslist listings include a phone number associated with one of Jabbar's real estate businesses.
The specific firearms listed by Jabbar include a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a 357 magnum pistol, and a CZ 52 pistol. The listing for the shotgun notably includes the description 'Great for sending home invaders to Hell!'. It remains unclear when these listings, described as 'deactivated by the seller', were initially posted on the site. Armslist has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the matter.
Following the truck attack in New Orleans, Jabbar reportedly engaged in a shootout with law enforcement officers after driving a pickup truck into a crowd of New Year's revelers. However, authorities have not disclosed details about the specific gun or guns used by Jabbar during the attack.
