
Authorities have confirmed that a suspect involved in a workplace shooting in New Albany, Ohio, which resulted in one fatality and five injuries, is now in police custody. The suspect, identified as Bruce Reginald Foster III, was apprehended following a search warrant executed at an apartment in Columbus, Ohio.
The tragic incident took place at a cosmetic manufacturing plant in New Albany around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Foster has been charged with aggravated murder, as per Licking County court records.
New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones stated that the shooting appeared to be a targeted attack, emphasizing that there were no prior reports of conflict or issues involving the suspect at the workplace. The community expressed shock and sorrow over the unprecedented violence that unfolded.


Described as 6-feet tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, Foster's motives for the attack remain unclear. Mayor Sloan Spalding urged for increased support and vigilance within communities to prevent such tragedies.
The facility where the shooting occurred specializes in providing solutions for renowned brands in beauty, personal care, and home care sectors. While one individual was found deceased at the scene, five others were hospitalized, with their current conditions undisclosed.
Law enforcement recovered a handgun from the premises, and efforts were made to evacuate approximately 150 employees from the building to ensure their safety. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have urged anyone with information to contact them.
