New details have emerged regarding the suspect involved in a series of stabbing incidents in Massachusetts. The 26-year-old suspect is accused of stabbing a man through a McDonald's drive-thru window and subsequently attacking a woman inside the restaurant. Police suspect his involvement in another stabbing incident at a movie theater about an hour away, where four young girls were injured.
The suspect, identified as Jared Revisit, is scheduled to appear in court today for the McDonald's stabbing. He is facing charges of assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Investigations are ongoing to determine if Revisit is also connected to the stabbing of four girls at the movie theater in Braintree.
Records from the Edgar Town District Court reveal that Revisit was previously arrested on Mother's Vineyard for assault and battery of a family member and vandalism. According to a police report obtained by the Boston Globe, Revisit's father reported that his son had a mental breakdown and attacked him inside their home, causing damage to the property. Revisit was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation but was not held based on the hospital's standards.
Authorities are also looking into a possible connection between Revisit and a homicide in Deep River, Connecticut. Connecticut State Police have apprehended a suspect in Massachusetts in relation to the Deep River case, where a deceased individual was found following a disturbance at an address. The identity of the deceased individual has not been disclosed, and it remains unclear if the cases in Massachusetts and Connecticut are linked.
Neighbors in Deep River shared positive interactions with the deceased individual, describing him as friendly and amicable. While there is no active threat reported in Connecticut, authorities have refrained from releasing the names of the deceased individual or the suspect in custody in Massachusetts.
