Suspect In Deadly Chick-Fil-A Shooting In Texas In Custody

Shooting incident in Kosovo

Authorities in Texas have confirmed that the suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a Chick-fil-A restaurant is now in custody. The incident, which resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals, took place at the fast-food establishment located on North MacArthur Boulevard in Irving.

The suspect, identified as Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, was apprehended early Thursday morning following an extensive manhunt conducted by law enforcement officials. Police had circulated a photo of Mendoza Argueta and provided details about the vehicle he was last seen driving, a 1997 Honda 4-door car.

Authorities have indicated that the shooting appears to have been a targeted attack and not a random act of violence. However, they have not yet disclosed any information regarding the motive behind the incident or the identities of the victims. The shooting occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m., prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Television footage from the scene showed police presence at the Chick-fil-A restaurant, with screens placed in front of some windows and the parking lot cordoned off. Chick-fil-A has refrained from commenting on the incident at this time.

The Irving Police Department has assured the public that the suspect is now in custody, bringing a sense of relief to the community following the tragic events that unfolded at the fast-food establishment. As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to uncover more details surrounding the shooting and provide justice for the victims and their families.
