Remembering her mother on her birthday, Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of India's former Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, has written a heartfelt note on Twitter along with a throwback picture of her.
"Mother @SushmaSwaraj Heartiest congratulations on your birthday. Words are not enough to express how much I miss you. Your affection, blessings, culture, and education will always pave my way. Happy Birthday ma," Bansuri Swaraj tweeted along with a picture of her mother cutting a cake.
Governor Swaraj, Sushma Swaraj's husband also took to social media to share his birthday wishes for his late wife.
"Remembering you on your birthday. Tum Na Jaane Kis Jahan Mein Kho Gaye, Hum Bhari Duniya Mein Tanha Ho Gaye……!," he tweeted, sharing a beautiful picture of Sushma Swaraj.
As a national leader Sushma Swaraj intervened in several situations. As the External Affairs Minister of the country she handled several global and domestic issues perfectly. She was immensely popular among people for being an amiable politician.
Sushma Swaraj was Delhi's first female chief minister in 1998. Under the regime of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee she held the positions of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
On August 7, 2019 she succumbed to a heart attack.
