Susannah Constantine on a DRIP in hospital after 'serious' health issue

Susannah Constantine has been rushed to hospital and is being treated for a "serious" condition.

The television personality took to her Instagram page to share a health update with fans after announcing she had been admitted to hospital for monitoring.

Addressing her followers, the 61-year-old explained that she was being treated for something which she discovered to be a lot more serious than she initially imagined.

Susannah appeared to have been staying on a hospital ward as nurses could be seen in the background while the noise from machines could be heard in the background.

Sharing a video with her 116,000 Instagram followers, Susannah appeared to show an intravenous drip hooked to her hand to be able to inject medication directly into her bloodstream.

However, Susannah didn't go into detail on her condition but stated that she was thankful for a team of neurosurgeons and praised a Brain and Spine condition charity

Alongside her upload, Susannah penned: "Withered arm turned out to be symptom of something a bit more serious. All sorted now thanks to our ailing but still magnificent NHS where we are lucky enough to have some of the most gifted doctors (and in this case neurosurgeons) in the world. @brainandspine . Forever grateful."

Since sharing her alarming news, fans and celebrity pals have flocked to the comment section of her post to send their good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Steps songstress Faye Tozer penned: "Sending you the biggest love," alongside a heart emoji.

"Get well soon darling..." typed Strictly Come Dancing Dancing star Johannes Radebe.

Television star Lisa Snowdon added: "Oh honey. Gosh. Sending you lots of love and a speedy recovery ."

Meanwhile, a fan commented: "Wish you a full and speedy recovery. You were clever to seek assistance from the right place and in a timely manner."

"Thinking of you. Take it easy, don't rush your recovery," said a second.

Susannah's health scare comes just days after she spoke candidly to the Mirror about a devastating diagnosis which left her feeling "ashamed" when asking for help.

After noticing she had been struggling with her hearing, Susannah booked a hearing test at Boots but admits she had been dreading needing assistance for her age-related hearing loss.

Initially, Susannah believed the test had gone well. "I thought, 'I've nailed that – I'm not deaf ', but of course, there were pitches that I hadn't heard."

The test found years of wear and tear had left Susannah in need of a hearing aid.
