Susanna Reid sent a very simple response after a fan sent her an explicit image on social media. The presenter was subject to the unwanted snap after sharing an announcement about her work on Good Morning Britain.
She took to Twitter to share a selfie of herself and regular co-host Ed Balls after they hosted the start of this week's shows together and shared the ITV news programme's latest success. "RATINGS! Thanks to all the wonderful viewers who tuned into @gmb yesterday," Susanna penned.
"Our audience peaked at more than 1 million viewers," she then revealed. And viewers were quick to applaud the big numbers - and the Ed and Susanna's on-air partnership.
@Clairew35935912 tweeted: "Love this partnership, long May it continue." @Vdweller replied: "A great on screen partnership!" @paddiewackwack posted: "I like the combination of you two. You both seem to have each other’s backs and don’t try to upstage each other. A good watch. More of the same please."
@mcmurrie_janet shared: "That’s great news Susanna I am pleased for you and all at GMB enjoy watching of a morning before going to work think you and ed are the perfect partnership." @elizabe07166291 commented: "Fantastic Job Susanna and Ed, Love the Programme as always." @flabini95 added: "You both make a good team @susannareid100 and @edballs, shame it can't be more permanent."
However, the string of comments was interrupted by a random picture message of a nude male alongside the words "ding dong", , according to the Daily Star. But Susanna kept it cool and typed in response: "Barry, I think it’s probably a good idea not to tweet this!"
Meanwhile, Susanna was also quick to fire back at those who started to criticise GMB. @markukfan said: "I will be honest, it would be easier to watch if you didnt try to be over dramatic when you talk about the stories to guests, its news not drama." To which the mum-of-three relied: "One million people seem to be happy Mark."
@lisahug28223714 then said: "Over one million regularly tune into bbc, it doesn’t take them half an hour to ask a question…" But not willing to let it go, Susanna said: "And yet we seem to get more than 6 questions into the programme." The Twitter user then hit back: "Nothing that’s worth listening to," before Susanna cheekily replied: "It’s not mandatory Lisa."
