Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid has shared an emotional announcement with her followers, revealing that she has been nominated for a prestigious award. The 54-year-old presenter took to Instagram to announce her nomination for Network Presenter of the Year at the RTS Television Journalism Awards 2025.
Posting a photo of herself alongside fellow nominees Anna Foster of BBC and Sky News’ Sophy Ridge, Susanna expressed her gratitude and excitement. She captioned the image: “THANK YOU to the @royaltelevisionsociety for this prestigious nomination in a category with illustrious company @annaefoster @sophyridge. And thank you, always, to our incredible @gmb team and viewers.”
Her post quickly garnered attention and support from her ITV co-stars. Lorraine Kelly celebrated the news with a cheerful “Hurrah! Fantastic,” while Kate Garraway showed her support with clapping hand emojis. Charlotte Hawkins called the nomination “amazing” and “very well deserved,” and both Richard Arnold and Christine Lampard added their congratulations with clapping emojis, reported by the Express.
Earlier in the week, Susanna also took a moment during Good Morning Britain to congratulate her co-star Ed Balls for his recent win. While discussing the day’s news with guests Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire, Susanna paused to say, “Finally before we go. A huge congratulations to Ed Balls for winning these fantastic awards at the Political Podcast Awards 2025, Interview of the Year, and the People’s Choice Award.”
Ed, who co-hosts the Political Currency podcast with former Chancellor George Osborne, shared that their award category was determined by public vote. Susanna continued with praise, saying, “A huge well done.”
Ed and George Osborne took to the podcast’s official Twitter account to express their gratitude following their double win. In a celebratory video, Ed proudly declared: “We’ve just won awards at the Political Podcast of the Year Awards. In fact, we didn’t just win one.” George jokingly revealed a second trophy, with Ed excitedly exclaiming, “Two! Can you believe it? Not only Interview of the Year for Michael Gove but also the People’s Choice!”
Both Susanna and Ed’s recent accolades highlight the impressive achievements of the Good Morning Britain team, showcasing their continued success and recognition in the broadcasting industry.
