Susanna Reid was quick to respond to some hateful comments as she returned to Good Morning Britain. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Monday (April 17) for the first time in weeks.
She was back alongside Ed Balls after taking two weeks off of presenting duties on her annual Easter break. But it appears to everyone was as welcoming to Susanna's return as her co-host and fellow GMB stars as she found herself hitting back at some commentators on social media.
Taking to Twitter, Susanna shared a selfie of herself and Ed ready to get on air in the ITV studio. "Back @gmb - join us!" she simply shared in a tweet alongside the snap.

In response, one follower slammed: "Rather throw the TV out of a 3 story window." But Susanna was quick to respond to the tweeter. "Think that might be dangerous," she remarked. As another disgustingly wrote: "Rather s**t in my hands n clap," the 52-year-old broadcaster responded: "Don’t let me stop you Dean."
And her reply prompted applause. @Ian85777 said: "Queen of putdowns. Classic!" @Siggers1976 replied: "Strong reply - not sure how, with a free education system, some are unable to criticise without crass…." @Ginspiration10 laughed: "Best reply ever."
Meanwhile, Susanna looked visibly stunned when Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke made a cheeky comment during his appearance on her first show back. The professional dancer turned Strictly judge joined Susanna and Ed live on the show to discuss his upcoming tour.
'An Evening with Anton Du Beke', which will see the dancer take to the stage with his live band, a guest singer, and a group of dancers for a night of "song, dance and laughter". While discussing his new show, Anton explained that he is giving out his personal phone number to the audience so that they can text him throughout the evening.
Turning to Susanna, Anton said: "[I'm giving out] my personal phone number, which you already have." But a puzzled Susanna responded: "I'm not sure I do, actually." He then replied "Yes, you do," before cheekily adding: "I'm sure that photo is real," prompting silence but a giggle from the presenter.
