A new report has revealed South Lanarkshire folk are amongst the most watched in the UK.
The area has come third on a list of places with the highest number of surveillance cameras.
Get Licensed, the UK’s security staffing platform, conducted a series of Freedom of Information requests to discover which areas had the most security cameras, as well as what areas spent the most on surveillance.
And Big Brother certainly appears to be watching the people of South Lanarkshire, with 2204 CCTV cameras in operation, recording our every move. That's 68.7 cameras per 10,000 people.
Glasgow City tops the poll as the most heavily surveilled with 5352 cameras (around 874 for every 100,000 people), while the London Borough of Hillingdon takes the runner up spot with 2304.
The only other Scottish area in the top ten is Fife, coming in tenth with 1420 cameras - North Lanarkshire sits 11th with 1284 cameras in operation.
However, the north of the region was highlighted among the areas with the greatest expenditure of CCTV, with costs of £305,134 in North Lanarkshire.
The research shows 22 areas across Britain have more than a thousand cameras.
Not all councils responded to the FOI request and some were unable to provide information.
