Surging Bengals survive slumping Steelers to keep playoff hopes alive

The Cincinnati Bengals helped themselves. Now they will need help on Sunday from the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets.

The Bengals downed the Pittsburgh Steelers 19-17 in an AFC North thriller on Saturday.

Trey Hendrickson had 3.5 sacks and Cade York kicked four field goals as the Bengsls won their fifth straight to end the regular season.

The Bengals need the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets to beat the Miami Dolphins (or a tie game) to get the wild-card spot.

The Bengals led 19-7 in the fourth quarter only to see the Steelers rally for 10 points.

Pittsburgh, which has lost four in a row, had a final drive to try and win it on a field goal. However, there was questionable time management by Russell Wilson and some incompletions that doomed the possible comeback.
