SURAT: Digital artist Huzefa Indorewala’s efforts decorated him with flying colours when his artwork was chosen to be displayed at UNESCO Ocean Decade Exhibition as part of United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon. Indorewala’s artwork titled, ‘It’s Soaking’ was chosen from his social media page and put up for display to create awareness about the importance of the ocean globally.
“I create digital artwork out of my passion for it. I posted the image with the title “It’s Soaking” on my Instagram page and a few weeks ago. I received an email informing me that they want to use my image for the exhibition. I was elated as it is a prestigious event and I was among few artists internationally whose work has been chosen,” Indorewala told TOI after winning the international recognition.
After learning digital designing on his own, Indorewala now teaches the skill to others. He is also a professional designer and had posted the prized artwork in August 2021 on the social media which grabbed attention of a few top observers of digital art.
The conference ended last week. “I used digital images and merged it in a way that it looks further appealing,” he added. In the image, Indorewala merged an underwater scuba diver’s image in the space between two branches of a dried tree standing on a deserted land.
A huge image printed on a poster was put up along with other chosen images at the event in Lisbon. Hundreds of visitors witnessed the images and the artwork was shared by the organisers of the event on multiple social media platforms.
