Holly Willoughby has shared a heart-warming tribute after taking to social media to share a family death.
The ITV star paid tribute to her mother-in-law Sandra as she told her Instagram fans she had died. Thanking Sandra for her "guidance and advice", Holly said to know her was "to know strength itself".
In a post to her 8.3m followers she wrote: "Sleep well Sandra… Nonna, Mother, Sister, friend… To know her was to know strength itself… Raising four children after losing her husband, she then lost a son and more recently her sister.

"Thank you for your guidance, advice and bottomless Prosecco. Thank you for raising the incredible man I’m married to… I see your strength everyday in our children… Be at peace…Love you."
Alongside the heart-warming words, the This Morning presenter shared a smiling photograph of herself and Sandra, beaming into the camera.
Since Holly shared the news on July 8, support has come pouring in. Vanessa Feltz said: "I am so terribly sorry to hear of Sandra’s passing. I had such a memorable conversation with her. She exuded wisdom kindness and warmth. Sending love to you Dan and the whole family."
Broadcaster Kate Thornton added: "Beautiful words for a truly beautiful and remarkable woman. I’m so sorry she’s no longer with you. Sending my heartfelt condolences."
And messages of support came pouring in from doting fans as one person wrote: "Heartfelt condolences to you and the family." Another added: "So sorry for your loss. She sounds like an incredible lady. Sending hugs and love to you all."
A third commented: "Grief is hard but you have a lot of love for her. Wishing all of you love to help over time with your fond memories, moments and wisdom from her!"
