A popular lunchtime salad sold in SuperValu stores has been recalled after being mis-packed, with ingredients left off the label.
The Food Safety Authority (FSAI) has this week issued a recall notice for a batch of The Signature Taste Sweet Potato & Bean Salad contains eggs, milk and mustard which were all not included on the label. The FSAI said: "The implicated batch of SuperValu Signature Taste Sweet Potato & Bean Salad was mis-packed with coleslaw which contains eggs, milk and mustard which are not mentioned on the label.
"This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of eggs, milk or mustard." The affected batch has a use by date of 10/09/2022.

According to the HSE, food intolerance is when you have difficulty digesting some foods, and it causes symptoms such as bloating and stomach pain. These symptoms usually happen a few hours after eating the food.
Meanwhile, shoppers are also being warned to check their fridges and presses for certain packs of the Ardo Frozen Fruitberry Mix, and for Fit Foods Breakfast Club Porridge with Mixed Summer Berries after it was discovered that Hepatitis A was present in both the frozen yoghurt and the porridge.
The FSAI says hepatitis A can make people sick for a number of months. Hepatitis A infection is an acute disease of the liver caused by the hepatitis A virus. Symptoms of hepatitis A include fever, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, and jaundice.
