A supermarket is urging community groups in Lanarkshire to apply for funding.
Shopping giant Co-op has announced that it will help support community groups in the area in need of funding.
The Co-op Community Fund launched in 2016 and Co-op members have since raised £100 million for nearly 30,000 projects.
Between £1000 and £3000 will be given to any group which is successful in its application.
The more members who shop with the Co-op, the more money a project will receive.
Groups will find out if their application has been successful in October, and will go on to be supported for 12 months and receive the allocated funds in November next year.
Rebecca Birkbeck, director of community engagement at the Co-op, told Lanarkshire Live: “Since the Local Community Fund began, we have raised an amazing £100m for grassroots causes, as a direct result from the support of our members.
“And for the first time I’m so pleased to announce that we have extended the criteria to include causes that are particularly dedicated to helping tackle climate change, from local community gardens to small scale renewable energy schemes.
“As always, members are encouraged to select a cause during each round, which will positively impact their local community.”
