A man has tragically died in an Ayrshire supermarket's car park, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Morrisons in Kilmarnock on Friday after the 82-year-old passed away suddenly in a vehicle in the car park.

Officials say that the man's next of kin are aware and that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On the afternoon of Friday, December 9 police were called to the West Langlands Street area of Kilmarnock, following the sudden death of an 82-year-old man.

"Next of kin are aware and there are no suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
