Switch Dettol power & fresh anti-bacterial multi-action floor wipes refreshing green apple (15), £3, Morrisons

Verdict: Good size floor wipes with plenty of moisture and dirt pick-up. Left the bathroom floor looking clean and smelling like just-cut Granny Smiths.

Switch M thick bleach citrus (750ml), 54p, Morrisons
for Domestos thick bleach citrus fresh (750ml), £1, Morrisons
SAVE: Zero
Verdict: We found the own brand a bit weak. It said thick but it was thinner than Domestos. It also had a very strong bleach smell, unlike the zesty, fresher one of the brand. Not worth switching for just 46p to an inferior product.
Switch Plenty the original one white (2), £2.50, Tesco
For Kitchen towels white (2), £1.24, Tesco
SAVE: £1.26
Verdict: We thought the sheets on the Tesco roll would be smaller, but we were surprised to find they were the same size as Plenty and just as absorbent for mopping up small spills.

Switch Comfort ultra concentrated pure fabric conditioner (36 washes), £3.05, Waitrose
for Essential Waitrose pure fabric conditioner (50 washes), £1.90, Waitrose
SAVE: £1.15
Verdict: No strong perfume smell, just a pleasant freshness. Clothes came out of the machine less creased than usual and jumpers especially were softer yet still full of body.
Switch Dettol anti-bacterial surface cleanser spray (500ml), £2, Asda
For Multi surface cleaner (500ml), 59p, Asda
SAVE: £1.41
Verdict: The Asda cleaner gave out a fine spray but we felt it cleaned the kitchen surfaces to our satisfaction and left them hygienic. We couldn’t tell the difference, although Dettol boasted better germ protection.
