Supermarket St Patrick's Day opening hours as Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes and Supervalu make changes

St Patrick's Day is sure to be a huge celebration this weekend as people take to the streets to share in the festivities in person for the first time in two years.

A once-off double bank holiday will see people enjoy both Thursday and Friday off work, which means many people will be taking the opportunity to meet up with friends and family for a long-awaited catch-up.

However, as usual, there are sure to be some last-minute essentials needed from a local supermarket as people gather supplies to make the most out of the bank holiday weekend and with Met Eireann predicting heat and sunshine, everyone will be dashing to the shops for ice-cream and a few cans.
