Supermarket meal deals are becoming more expensive as the cost of living crisis continues to heap pressure on food prices.
But which retailer offers the cheapest meal deal - and how much can you save?
From Tesco to Boots, to Morrisons and Asda, we round up everything you need to know.
It comes as Brits were warned they face paying an extra £643 on the annual price of their supermarket shopping as food inflation hit record highs.
Grocery inflation shot up to 13.9% over the 12 weeks to 2 October, according to researchers at Kantar.
This is the highest it has been since the company began tracking prices during the 2008 financial crash.
Here are all the meal deals compared, listed in alphabetical order.
We've looked at prices on each supermarket to come up with the maximum savings.
We then also approached each retailer to clarify our findings, as not all meal deal items will be listed online.
Keep in mind that prices do vary between stores, depending on your location.
And remember, it isn't all about the highest saving - you need to take the price of the meal deal compared to other supermarkets into account.
Asda
- No set price, get the cheapest free - main, snack and drink
Asda has a slightly different meal deal compared to other supermarkets.
Instead of having a set price, you get the cheapest item free out of a main, snack and drink.
When we checked the Asda website today, the most expensive items came to £6 at full price.
This goes down to £4.75 if you take off the price of the priciest snack.
This is based on purchasing a £3 main, £1.25 side and £1.75 drink, with the snack being the item that comes free.
The least expensive items we spotted based on online prices came to £3.39 at full price, reduced to £2.70 when you take off the snack.
This involved picking a £1.40 main, 69p snack and £1.30 drink.
Asda didn't get back to us to confirm if this is definitely the maximum potential saving when we shared these calculations.
Boots
- £3.99 or £4.99 in London - main, snack and drink
- £3.60 or £4.50 in London for Advantage card members
Boots has just put up the price of its meal deal. It now costs £3.99 or £3.60 if you have an Advantage card.
It's more expensive in London, where you'll pay £4.99 normally or £4.50 if you're signed up to its loyalty scheme.
Boots said the most expensive meal deal across all its stores comes to £8.29 - this is if you buy a £3.35 main, £2.25 snack and £2.69 drink.
This means the maximum you can save is £4.30 outside of London and £3.30 inside, if you don't have an Advantage card.
But if you're signed up to its loyalty scheme, the saving is £4.69 outside of London and £3.79 inside.
Co-op
- £4 - main, snack and drink
- £3.50 for customers with a loyalty card
The Co-op meal deal is priced at £4 but this goes down to £3.50 if you're a member of its loyalty scheme.
The supermarket and convenience store chain told us that the maximum saving you can get through its meal deal is £4.30.
This is based on buying a £3.25 main, £1.70 snack and £2.85 drink, which would come to £7.80 normally.
For shoppers that aren't signed up to its loyalty scheme, the saving is £3.80.
Tesco
- £3.50 - main, snack and drink
- £3 for customers with a Clubcard
Tesco charges £3.50 for its meal deal - or if you're a Clubcard customer, the price goes down to £3.
When we checked online prices today, the most expensive items that you can buy in the meal deal came to £6.44 full price.
This involves purchasing a £2.80 main, £1.15 snack and £2.49 drink.
It means if you have a Clubcard, the price goes down to £3 and you're saving £3.44 - without a Clubcard the saving is £2.94.
Tesco confirmed this is the maximum saving possible for customers.
Sainsbury’s
- £3.50 - main, snack and drink
Sainsbury's offers just one set price for its meal deal, regardless of whether you're a Nectar card holder.
The supermarket told us not all its meal deal options are listed on its website.
It said the maximum saving customers can get is £3.75 when buying a £3 main, £1.55 snack and £2.70 drink.
This would come to £7.25 at full price but is reduced to £3.50 because it is a meal deal.
Unlike other supermarkets, at Sainsbury's you can get hot drinks including Costa Coffee as part of its meal deal.
Morrisons
- £3.50 - main, snack and drink
- £4 premium version also available
Morrisons' meal deal is priced at £3.50 but there is also a £4 premium version available.
On its website, we could only see options for its £3.50 version. Morrisons advertises a maximum saving of £3.55.
This is based on buying a £2.85 main, £1.75 snack and £2.45 drink.
Morrisons didn't get back to us when we asked for the cheapest options for its £4 premium version.
