Supermarket chain Iceland has announced it will be giving away a whopping £5,000 in a voucher giveaway this Christmas.

The festive competition will see 10 lucky winners receive a £500 voucher each, which can be used to stock up on Christmas goodies from Iceland.

With just days to go until December 25, and in the words of Slade’s Noddy Holder, it’s finally time to declare: “It’ssssss Chrissstmas.”

Holder, who had a Christmas hit in 1973 with “Merry Xmas Everybody,” has teamed up with Iceland for the festive giveaway.

He appears in Iceland’s Christmas advert, decked out in pyjamas and a paper hat, and delivers his festive catchphrase with gusto.

How to enter the Iceland’s £500 voucher competition

The competition is run exclusively on social media, with Iceland giving away 10 £500 vouchers via Instagram and TikTok.

Iceland fans hoping to bag a Christmas food shop voucher worth £500 should visit either the Iceland TikTok or Instagram channels.

On TikTok and Instagram, you’ll find a post inviting you to perform your best Noddy impression delivering the iconic “It’sss Chriiisssstmas!” line.

Creativity and passion are highly recommended if you want to stand out.

Use the hashtag #LandOfItsChristmas and make sure to submit your video by Tuesday, December 20.

The 10 best entries will win a £500 voucher and will be set for a magical Christmas.

What’s more, is that consumers can also combine the vouchers with any of Iceland’s other cost saving deals this Christmas.

Noddy Holder and Merry Xmas Everybody

Slade released Merry Xmas Everybody in 1973, and it remains a Christmas staple today.

Holder himself is sure to still be a fan of the song as it reportedly earns him around £500,000 in royalties every year.

He is also yet to grow tired of bellowing his famous catchphrase, as his wife Suzan Price revealed that he wakes her up every December 25 by shouting “It’s Christmas!”

In her column for Chesire Life magazine, Price said: “If you think it’s loud on the record, you have no idea!

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would end up married to a man as synonymous with Christmas (almost) as much as Santa himself.”

She also said: “It’s a bit weird to know my husband is such a big part of everyone else’s festivities.

“Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody will be 50 years old next year. The track is now as much a part of Christmas as crackers and cranberry sauce.”
