Superdrug's £5 dupe that's 'basically the same' as the £48 Elemis Cleansing Balm

This Superdrug £5 cleansing balm is a dupe that's 'basically the same' as the £48 Elemis Cleansing Balm.

Superdrug is known for its affordable beauty products, with everything from make-up to skin care available from the high street favourite. Its own-brand products are all available on its website, some with rave reviews about the budget options.

The product that has most recently grabbed shoppers' attention is its B. Melting Cleansing Balm, which is currently on sale for £4.99. Regular users of the product in the reviews claim it's a perfect dupe for the £48 Elemis Cleansing Balm, so you could save £43 by making the swap.

On its website, Superdrug said: "Melt away dirt and impurities with this velvety soft balm which helps to remove every trace of make-up. Rinses clean to leave skin feeling soft, hydrated and soothed, with no residue.".

People in the reviews were loving the product, as one person said: "I normally use the Elemis balm but this was just as good for a cheaper version. I couldn’t smell a scent" and another said: "Amazing cleansing balm. Melts your makeup off and leaves your skin soft and makeup free! I've tried Elemis cleansing balm and its basically the same. Vegan and cruelty free".

Another person said: "Lovely product, it’s my first time buying it but will definitely buy again. I normally buy Elemis cleansing balm and this is a very good substitute. Takes off all my make up ( even eye makeup)."

However, some people didn't have a positive experience with the balm. One person said: "I bought this 2 weeks ago because I could not get my usual Bodyshop one, actually disappointed in it smells like fat out of a chip pan and doesn’t feel like it gets it all off,I think if it was cheaper I wouldn't mind but for the price it’s near enough Bodyshop price so I might as well buy that one. I've actually had to add some essential oils to it to help with smell its either that or put it in the bin the smell is that bad"
