Superdrug B. Melting Cleansing Balm beats expensive competitor in blind test on This Morning

With some of us struggling to make ends meet these days, looking for cheaper alternatives to our favourites has become a hot topic - and beauty dupes are making waves! One beauty dupe that shocked even Holly Willoughby for its makeup removing properties costs less than £10!

Whether you can't resist trying out a new best-selling blush or a cult classic for foundation, there’s nothing better than finding a cheaper product that works for you. Beauty expert Nadine Baggott appeared on This Morning, and shared her favourite beauty dupes that are going to be worth a spot in your makeup bag!

Yes the B. Melting Cleansing Balm from Superdrug came out on top in a This Morning blind test against a best-selling premium competitor.

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield tested the cleansing balms live on air, with Holly left gobsmacked when it was revealed the budget version was her favourite!

For just £9.99, get ready to melt away dirt and impurities with this velvety soft balm which helps to remove every trace of makeup. It rinses clean to leave skin feeling soft, hydrated and soothed - with no residue!

Holly went on to comment “for me, the texture of the Superdrug one feels nicer”.

Superdrug have benchmarked its entire B. range against premium brands and it seems like they’ve won this time.

And the designer double in question was Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, priced at £25. Very similar to the cheaper alternative, cleanse and purify your skin with the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm.

Equipped with a unique and innovative texture, the cleverly-designed cleanser turns from a balm to an oil when rubbed into your skin, drenching your base in moisture as it purifies.

The potent yet kind-to-skin cleansing balm effortlessly dissolves any trace of makeup, minimising the appearance of enlarged pores and limiting the risk of breakouts and blemishes.

The rich, velvety texture of the balm creates a protective barrier against harsh external aggressors, locking in moisture and reducing the risk of dryness and tightness.

But what do you think? Are you more likely to swap out some of your more expensive beauty products for a dupe? Or are you sticking to the premium version? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

A range of serums, eyeshadow palettes, perfumes and creams were also tested against premium quality goods to help consumers save money this year.
