A supercomputer has predicted the top three in tomorrow's Epsom Derby with 11/4 favourite Auguste Rodin predicted to win.
The supercomputer, of Irishracing.com has predicted 40/1 outsider San Antonio for a second place finish and the Frankie Dettori ridden Arrest to come home third.
The predictions are based on analysis of previous winners. Factors such as previous race distance performances, most recent race performance, breeding and betting position are all taken into account.

The supercomputer then analysed these statistics with respect to the field competing at this years Derby. These were then compared to previous winners of the event. A score was then assigned and the higher the more likely to win.
The results meant that Auguste Rodin is the predicted winner with a similarity score of 0.725. San Antonio, whom the supercomputer reckons will finish second had a score of 0.720, just fractionally behind the winner. Arrest, ridden by Frankie Dettori is predicted to come home third.
Will it be correct? We'll wait and see.
