Manchester United are embroiled in a close battle to secure a place back in the Champions League next season.
United are fourth in the Premier League table and have three games left to go of their season in the top flight this campaign. They are seeking to secure a place in the top four in Erik ten Hag's first campaign in charge.
They are facing a close fight with Newcastle United, who are above them in the table on goal difference. Both teams have three games left to go this season and the race to finish third looks set to go down to the wire as the campaign approaches its climax.

Newcastle take on Brighton & Hove Albion this Thursday and know that victory over the Seagulls, coupled with another three points against Leicester City on Monday evening will confirm their place in Europe's Premier competition. The same scenario is true for United should they beat both Bournemouth and Chelsea.
Liverpool sit fifth and a point behind both sides. However, United and Newcastle have an advantage of sorts over Jurgen Klopp's outfit as both have a game in hand on the Anfield outfit.
Throughout the campaign, football statistics website FiveThirtyEight is forecasting how the top flight table might finish after the results of every matchday, with the season reaching the climax of the season at the end of this month. This of course includes which sides will end up claiming the two remaining Champions League qualification spots.
And as things stand, United are tipped to finish the campaign in third with 72 points. They are predicted to finish just a point ahead of Newcastle, who will join them in next season's Champions League.
It means Liverpool are tipped to miss out on the top four and just fall short. Their total is predicted to be 69 points, three behind United and two fewer than Newcastle.
At the top of the table, Manchester City are predicted to win the Premier League title for the fifth time in six seasons and end the campaign six points clear of second placed Arsenal. At the opposite end, Leeds United and Leicester are tipped to join Southampton in relegation to the Championship for the 2023/24 season.
