Supercomputer predicts outcome of Man City vs Arsenal as late drama decides FA Cup tie

A supercomputer has predicted that Arsenal will beat Manchester City 2-1 on Friday night to secure their place in the FA Cup fifth round.

The top two in the Premier League will meet this weekend looking for a victory that could offer an edge for them in the title race. With City's match being the standout tie of the round, Sportslens has used a sophisticated AI to predict the outcome of the match.

'ChatGTP' has used statistics including old team sheets and current form to predict how the match at the Etihad Stadium is likely to play out. According to the AI, the Blues will dominate the early stages of the contest but it will be the Gunners who'll strike first.

In the 27th minute, Eddie Nketiah is predicted to turn home a cross from Ben White to give the visitors the advantage. City will continue their pressure and will get the opportunity to equalise from the spot five minutes before the interval.

However, Riyad Mahrez's penalty nightmare will come back to haunt him as Aaron Ramsdale saves the Algerian's strike. City continue their onslaught in the second half and will be rewarded 20 minutes after the interval.

A stunning strike from outside the area from Kevin De Bruyne restores parity at the Etihad. Despite City's dominance for almost the entirety of the contest, the AI is expecting the Blues to be hit with a sucker punch at the death.

Nketiah is predicted to bag his second of the match as City push for a winner to avoid going to a replay. Defeat in the FA Cup may well be seen as bittersweet for the Blues.

Without the FA Cup in their schedule, City will be free to focus on their two main objectives the Premier League and Champions League. As for Arsenal, they would continue to carry on battling on three fronts heading into a busy February for all clubs.
