Supercomputer predicts Man City and Manchester United final Premier League positions

A supercomputer has predicted that Manchester United and Manchester City will both finish inside the top four in the Premier League this season.

Erik ten Hag's side secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday afternoon thanks to goals from the in-form Marcus Rashford (2) and Jadon Sancho. The win at Old Trafford saw United move to within three points of neighbours City.

Pep Guardiola's men, meanwhile, lost ground in the title race at the weekend after dropping points away at Nottingham Forest. Bernardo Silva had given the reigning champions the lead in the clash, but Steve Cooper's men scored late to steal a point. With Arsenal winning earlier in the day, Guardiola's side are now two points behind the Gunners, with the London outfit also having a game in hand.

According to MyBettingSites' supercomputer, via BonusCodeBets, City are still favourites to win the Premier League title this season, despite currently sitting second in the table. The predictions suggest that the Blues have odds of 10/11 to retain their crown this term, although Arsenal are very close behind them at 11/10.

While United are mathematically part of the title race, they are clear outsiders to win the league - with the Reds placed at 12/1 to lift the trophy at the end of the campaign. However, Ten Hag's side are predicted to finish in third position, which would mark a successful season under the Dutchman - especially if they lift a trophy.

The Blues are desperate to win the Champions League this term, and will also be aiming to lift the FA Cup once again. For the Reds, they are the only side in England still competing on all four fronts and will be confident of bringing silverware back to Old Trafford for the first time since 2017.

  1. Manchester City
  2. Arsenal
