Supercomputer predicts Liverpool Premier League finish amid Man United and Newcastle top-four fight

Liverpool have been predicted to miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League by a supercomputer.

The Reds have gone into the mid-season break, due to the World Cup in Qatar, and are now not back in action until mid-December. Liverpool went into the hiatus with a 3-1 win over Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

That has left Jurgen Klopp ’s side in sixth spot in the league standings, seven points adrift of the Champions League places with a game in hand. Liverpool still have postponed matches against Wolves and Chelsea left to be rearranged after they were called off in September.

According to the prediction, Liverpool will finish in sixth place when the 2022-23 campaign finishes. It has been tipped that the Reds will amass approximately 65.6 points after 38 matches, which leaves them narrowly behind Manchester United in fifth with 67.5 points.

Tottenham Hotspur are the team that have been predicted to finish in fourth spot, with a points total of 67.6, marginally better than that of Man United. Arsenal have been predicted to beat Manchester City to the league title, with a 82.8 points total compared to 82.4 for Pep Guardiola’s side, while Newcastle United are tIpped to finish third with 69.2 points.
