The Rugby League clash between Salford Red Devils and Huddersfield Giants on Saturday will go ahead as planned it has been confirmed.
The country has entered a 10-day period of national mourning following the death of Britain's longest reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.
Government guidance issued this morning said sporting bodies were under "no obligation to cancel or postpone events and sporting fixtures" during the mourning period.

The Premier League, EFL and The FA announced they would still be postponing all this weekend's fixtures as a "mark of respect" to Her Majesty.
However, a number of other sports, including Rugby League and cricket, have now decided to proceed with their fixtures. It means Salford's Super League play-off clash against the Giants at Huddersfield's John Smith's Stadium, which kicks-off at 1pm, will be played.
In a statement, Super League said: "Following the publication of the National Mourning Guidance, and consultation with Government, other sports and Rugby League stakeholders including clubs and broadcasters, Super League can confirm that the Betfred Super League Eliminator between Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils will be played as scheduled on Saturday 10 September (kick-off 1pm).
"Due respect will be paid to Her Majesty before both Eliminator fixtures, with a period of silence and where possible the playing of the National Anthem – while players and match officials will be asked to wear black armbands."
"A reminder that the AJ Bell Stadium ticket office is open until 3pm today for anyone yet to collect their tickets for tomorrow's fixture. Thank you for your patience" Salford added on Twitter.
Leigh Centurions Betfred Championship match against Batley Bulldogs at Leigh Sports Village and the Betfred League One play-off clash between Rochdale Hornets and Oldham Rougheds on Sunday will also both go ahead.
Meanwhile, the series-deciding cricket test match between England and South Africa The Oval will resume on Saturday but will be reduced to a three-day game. Earlier in the day, England captain Ben Stokes said: "She loved sport, be honoured to play in her memory."
All other international, domestic, and recreational fixtures. cricket fixtures from tomorrow will also go ahead.
Play will re-start at the BMW PGA golf championships at Wentworth on Saturday whilst the Great North Run, the world's biggest half marathon held each year in the northeast is also going ahead on Sunday.
However, all Boxing bouts have been cancelled including the headline clash between the two leading female fighters Savannah Marshall and Clarissa Shiels at the 02 Arena in London on Saturday which will now take on October 15.
