Super car weekend to take place at popular Dublin shopping centre

Dundrum Town Centre will play host to a range of classy super cars this weekend.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28, the popular south Dublin shopping centre will host vehicles which car lovers will be buzzing to see including a Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Jordan Grand Prix’s Formula 1.

The cars will be on display from 10am until 6pm on both days at Pembroke Square. Additionally, TV and movie fans will get up and close to some famous novelty cars from classic titles such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future.

Super Car Weekend will also host a Cars & Coffee meet up for car owners to exhibit their very own beloved vehicles. The whole weekend will be free to attend and it suited to car enthusiasts of all ages.

Centre Director at Dundrum Town Centre Don Nugent said of the upcoming super car event: "We’ve never done anything like this before so it’s a proud moment for us. We always try to bring something new for our visitors and we believe this will be an exciting and exceptional event for everybody to enjoy."

Classic Car Specialist John Mohan said: "This event will host lots of incredible cars from historically significant cars to the latest masterpieces and some novelty cars in between. The weekend will be full of car enthusiasts talking about and displaying their prized possessions so make sure you pop down to get in on the fun."

The Super Car Weekend will also see a host of Q&A sessions take place. Plus, Hotel Chocolat will be selling coffee while Offbeat Donuts will be giving out complimentary doughnuts for visitors at The Paddocks.

Dublin car enthusiasts are also in for a treat on Friday, September 9 when over 200 supercars will blast off from Malahide for Cannonball 2022, which is the largest organised road trip in Europe.
