Super Bowl commercials 2025 — live updates on all the ads and trailers to watch now

Willem Dafoe and Catherine O'Hara in a Super Bowl 2025 ad for Michelob Ultra.

It's over. Super Bowl 2025 ended in a blowout 40-22 victory for the Philadelphia Eagles, who avenged their Super Bowl LVII defeat by the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs.

But we know what you're really here for: the best part of the big game — the ads. And all the watercooler talk they inspire each year.

From Chatherine O'Hara and Willem Dafoe playing pickleball to the over-the-top recreation "When Sally Met Hellmann's" ad with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, this year's Super Bowl commercials have been packed with celebrity cameos, over-the-top effects and ridiculous gimmicks.

We're highlighting the best (and worst) Super Bowl ads for 2025 below.

Meta Smart Glasses

Meta is using Super Bowl LIX to spotlight its Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. After teasing the ad online, including on a certain Marvel star's Instagram page, the first of two Super Bowl ads appeared on YouTube this week. Zuckerberg's tech firm enlists the help of Avengers Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt to show them off as the duo wreaks havoc in Kris Jenner's personal art collection. The actors use Meta AI to identify artwork, translate foreign languages, and eventually call a lawyer after an incident with a $6.2 million banana. Meta has also announced limited edition Super Bowl versions of its smart glasses in Eagles and Chiefs colors that won't be on sale for the general public.

HexClad

Kitchenware brand HexClad has debuted its first-ever Super Bowl commercial, "Unidentified Frying Object," which features celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay uncovering the true, out-of-this-world origins of the company's cookware technology in the Area 51 test kitchen... and in the process discovering that Pete Davidson is actually an alien ambassador.

Chiefs win the coin toss, Stitch crashes the Super Bowl

Stitch from Disney's upcoming live-action "Lilo and Stitch" crashed the Super Bowl 2025 shortly after the Chiefs won the coin toss. A short teaser made it seem like some incident was breaking out on the field, only to show the extraterrestrial evading capture from stadium staff in a cute call-back to the style of ads used for the original "Lilo & Stitch" before it hit theaters back in 2002, with Stitch invading "Beauty and the Beast," "The Little Mermaid," and other Disney classics.

Ben Affleck’s DunKings return in Dunkin’s Super Bowl ad

The DunKings are back in action for Super Bowl LIX, and they've got a new member: "Succession" and "The Apprentice" star, Jeremy Strong. In the first spot of the big game, you can see Strong has really immersed himself in his new role... sitting in a big pot of coffee beans.

The ad, which was teased earlier this week, marks the third-ever Super Bowl appearance by the coffee chain. Affleck has been a fixture in all of Dunkin’s Super Bowl ads.

New 'Thunderbolts' trailer shows off heroes for better and worse

"Thunderbolts," the Marvel team-up film starring Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Sebastian Stan that hits theaters on May 2, unveiled a new trailer during the big game. The ragtag group of antiheroes may not be Avengers-level, but the actors playing them are undeniably A-listers, including Florence Pugh (as Yelena Belova, seen in "Black Widow" and "Hawkeye"), Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (aka the Winter Soldier, of Captain America), and David Harbour (as the Red Guardian, back for more reluctant action after "Black Widow").

We’ll follow these heavily armed ne'er-do-wells on what look to be some very crazy government missions when "Thunderbolts" rounds out the MCU’s Phase Five on May 2.

Rather than celebrity cameos, T-Mobile put an out-of-this-world deal front and center in its Super Bowl ad: It's teaming up with Elon Musk's Starlink to offer satellite connections for so-called “dead zones” across the U.S. The telecommunications giant ran a 60-second commercial in the first quarter announcing it's offering a free Starlink trial for other carrier customers until July.

The company says the service makes it possible to get text messages now, with pictures, data and voice calls soon to come — even in areas where traditional cell reception is not available. T-Mobile says in the spot that Verizon and AT&T customers will be able to use the service for free for now without changing carriers.

Doritos 'Abduction' trailer takes home the gold

This year, Doritos asked fans who thought they could make better commercials than their own marketing team to step up to the plate and prove it, and the stakes were high; the winning creator stands to earn $1 million and a trip to New Orleans to watch the big game. The 2025 Doritos Super Bowl commercial titled "Abduction" was the winner, with director Dylan Bradshaw and content creator Nate Norvell taking home the prize money (not to mention serious bragging rights).

Seal as a seal is an assault on my eyeballs

Mountain Dew's Super Bowl ad this year is definitely memorable, even if it'll haunt your nightmares. When singer Becky G opens a bottle of Baja Blast, she's whisked to this mystery location... to bear witness to Seal (whose face has been bolted onto the body of a literal seal) singing about how strange it is to be this kinda chimera.

I don't know if the ad will make me remember to drink Mountain Dew Baja Blast, but I will remember to bring this up to my therapist.

It’s the second quarter of Super Bowl 2025, and the Philadelphia Eagles are leading the Kansas City Chiefs after Eagles QB Jalen Hurts scored the game’s first touchdown. But at 7-0 and with three quarters to go, this is still anyone's game.

Disney Plus asks 'What if..?'

Disney Plus is using its Super Bowl ad to remind you of all the great stories that you can enjoy on its streaming service by taking a leaf out of Marvel's book and asking a bunch of "What If" questions about their biggest properties, from all corners of the entertainment world.

Google Gemini ad tugs at your heartstrings

Google debuted a new emotional Super Bowl commercial where a father prepares for a job interview with the help of Gemini on his Pixel, using Google's AI to break down the most important work experience of his life.

After Gemini asks him to talk about “the job that mattered to you most,” he begins talking about important lessons he’s learned since becoming a parent. Trust me, you're going to want to get the tissues for this one.

Kendrick Lamar halftime show is about to start

Woof. That was a rough first half for the Chiefs. The Philadelphia Eagles are leading 24-0, and the halftime show is about to kick off. Here's everything you need to know about how to stream Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance. I don't know about y'all, but this is what I've been looking forward to the most at this year's big game. I got my popcorn ready, and my husband's already sick of me shouting "Mustard!" whenever they've played clips of Turn the TV Off during the game. Dont hurt 'em K-Dot.

Yahoo shares Bill Murray's personal email address

Yep, Yahoo's commercial just shared Bill Murray's email address in a Super Bowl commercial.

"Have you ever looked in the mirror and not seen yourself?" the famed comedian asks while looking in a mirror in his messy office and seeing himself as a dog. "I don't think I need professional help, but a skilled amateur...maybe? Little help?"

He then holds up a hand written note containing, you guessed it, his yahoo email address: billhimself@yahoo.com.

Shaboozey Nerds Super Bowl commercial

Grammy nominee Shaboozey stars in Nerds candy's 2025 Super Bowl commercial, showcasing the brand's Nerds Gummy Clusters as the singer offers his take on "What a Wonderful World," a song made famous by New Orleans native Louis Armstrong.

Shaboozey strolls down the street and is surprised by an explosion of color as the sweet treats liven up a parade. The chart-topping singer was nominated for best new artist at the 2025 Grammys, and his "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" was up for song of the year and best country song.

'M3gan 2.0' is a Femininomenon

"M3GAN 2.0," the highly anticipated sequel to Blumhouse's horror hit, showed the killer doll dancing to Chappell Roan’s "Femininomenon" during a teaser trailer at the Super Bowl. The trailer initially aired at the Grammys after Roan took the stage during the award show to perform “Pink Pony Club.” As we saw in "M3GAn's" final scene, this AI robot isn’t going offline that easily. “M3GAN 2.0” will hit theaters on June 27.

Poppi's colorful, influencer-filled spot

Poppi showed off its signature low-calorie probiotic soda in a Super Bowl ad packed with influencers from Alix Earle to Jake Shane and "Love Island USA's" Rob Rausch (complete with his signature overalls). After hemming and hawing over what soda to order, the crew opts for a Poppi to satisfy their cravings.

Stella Artois reveals Other David Beckham

Stella Artois' Super Bowl ad reveals that soccer superstar David Beckham has a secret twin brother! And his name is "Other David!" Oh and he might be Matt Damon.

The full ad shows the two "brothers" reuniting, and Other David is less than impressed by his superstar twin before the boys bond over their preferred beverage.

Go birds!

With the final score 40-22, the Philadelphia Eagles have won their second Super Bowl, avenging their Super Bowl LVII defeat by the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs. It was an underwhelming performance by the Chiefs, but they managed to score a few touchdowns after getting on the board in the third quarter, so it wasn't quite as embarrassing a defeat as it looked like it might be.

As promised during it's Super Bowl commercial, T-Mobile is now letting both iPhone and Android phone uses sign up for its Starlink beta. This enables people to call and text over the satellite network. But the twist is that T-Mobile is opening this network up to customers of other carriers. Here's the scoop on Starlink and how to sign up.

Your Super Bowl recovery runs on Dunkin'

Last night the Philadelphia Eagles blew the Kansas City Chiefs off the field and out of the history books. But if you were eating too many cheesesteaks and drinking too many Michelob Ultras while watching the Big Game you might need some Dunkin' this morning or afternoon. So go grab an iced coffee and then check up this "DunKings 2" ad featuring a wild method acting performance from Jeremy Strong.

GoDaddy taps Walton Goggins to show off AI

For their Super Bowl commercial, GoDaddy has teamed up with "Fallout" star Walton Goggins to showcase a collaboration between GoDaddy Airo and Goggins' actually-real eyewear brand, "Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses.

Goggins explains that, as an actor, he's able to convince audiences he knows what he's doing, and with the help of GoDaddy Airo, he's prepared for his hardest role yet: business owner. The program uses artificial intelligence to help entrepreneurs build logos, websites, social media content and commerce capabilities.

'Thunderbolts*' full trailer — watch it now

We have a full list of every movie trailer and teaser revealed during Super Bowl 2025, but if you watched the big game you only got a brief teaser with a message at the end to go watch the full trailer online. Unfortunately, with Super Bowl ads costing $8 million now, most studios don't want to spend on airing a full trailer.

Lucky for you, we've got you covered. Check out the trailer for "Thunderbolts*" now and then check out our guide to every upcoming MCU movie and show.

Aubrey Plaza, Michael Shannon and Bad Bunny team up in this Ritz crackers commercial

Last year, Aubrey Plaza was in one of my favorite Super Bowl commercials trying to get you to enjoy some Baja Blast. This year, she's in one of the best Super Bowl commercials again but this time she's promoting Ritz crackers and joined by the talented duo of Michael Shannon and Bad Bunny.

Harrison Ford's Jeep ad hailed as one of the Super Bowl's best

Every Super Bowl, there are some ads that have everyone talking for the wrong reasons (looking at you, Seal the seal). But Harrison Ford's spot for Jeep isn't one of them. The "Indiana Jones" star rarely participates in ads, and maybe that's why his message encouraging viewers to write their own story seems to have hit a particular soft spot.

Directed by James Mangold ("A Complete Unknown," "Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny"), the two-minute ad "Owner's Manual" shows Ford ruminating on life and what we owe one another before hopping in a jeep and driving down a dirt road. It ends with a playful jab at one of Jeep's biggest competitors, an automaker that shares a last name with the "Star Wars" actor, who looks at the camera and says: "This Jeep makes me happy…even though my name is Ford."

Uber Eats and Matthew McConaughey crack the code

In one of several Uber Eats Super Bowl commercials, Matthew McConaughey tries to pitch director Greta Gerwig a movie idea about how football has been an elaborate conspiracy to sell us food all along. Egads! The commercial also featured appearances by Charli XCX, Sean Evans, Kevin Bacon and Martha Stewart in her second ad of the night. It's clear Great's not buying what he's selling, but he does offer some food for thought.

Totino's reunites the Detroiters

In a Super Bowl that included a cowboy flesh hat it takes a bit to stand out as a surprising ad.

In a spoof of 'E.T.', Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson of Detroiters and I Think You Should Leave say good bye to the alien Chazmo, who gets brutally crunched by his spaceship.

Apparently, this is the first time a General Mills product has featured in a Super Bowl ad in more than a decade.

Booking.com gets Muppet-y

Am I sucker for the Muppets? Yes. Will I enjoy an ad for a travel website just because Kermit shows up? ....not a guarantee.

This isn't the most exciting or surprising ad and last year's Booking.com "different Tina Feys" ad was arguably funnier or at least a bit more clever.

But it is relatively informative and features Kermie, Animal, Miss Piggy, Statler & Waldorf, with a brief Gonzo at the end. It's not enough Muppets, but I'll take it for the moment.

The Super Bowl audience numbers are in

(Image credit: Aaron M. Sprecher/Getty Images)

So was that $8 million average for a Super Bowl ad worth it? Maybe. According to Fox Sports, the initial projected viewership for Super Bowl 25 was 126 million. That would be a record high.

As reported by Yahoo Sports, the viewer total hit a high of 135.7 during the second quarter. That was around 8 to 8:15 et, when the game wasn't quite a blowout yet.
