The Met Office reports that a mixture of sunshine and showers will hit the region today.
Across Merseyside it's set to be a mainly dry day with sunny spells. However some more northerly areas may see showers, with some becoming heavy at times.
Forecasters say temperatures will be mild, with highs of 12C. Into the evening of Wednesday, January 4, it will remain mostly dry with clearer spells before winds bring increasing cloud from the southwest.

Into Thursday it will be a cloudy start as a band of patchy rain and drizzle moves northeastwards through the morning. However it will become drier into the afternoon before it turns brighter again on Friday.
The BBC weather outlook for Friday to Sunday reads: "Friday morning will be largely dry with bright spells. In the afternoon, the odd shower will move in from the west in places. Breezy.
"Saturday morning will see a band of blustery rain clear eastwards, leaving bright spells and scattered showers for the rest of the day. Windy on Sunday with variable cloud and further blustery scattered showers. Staying mild for the time of year."
