Touk Miller has played peacemaker ahead of Jack Bowes' likely Gold Coast return for the first time since his high-profile move to Geelong.
Low-key midfielder Bowes' move to the Cats became one of the trade period's biggest talking points in October.
Still with two years remaining on a back-ended five-year contract, Bowes was shipped to the defending premiers along with the No.7 draft pick as part of a Suns salary dump.
The Cairns talent and No.10 draft pick had played 83 games in six seasons after graduating from the Suns' academy.
Bowes made his Geelong debut in their round-two loss to Carlton, amassing 20 disposals, making five tackles and gaining 461 metres.
The Cats play the Suns on the Gold Coast on Sunday, both sides still without a win this year.
"I hope the crowd doesn't boo him because he's done a lot for the club," Miller said on Tuesday.
"I know it's part of football, but you've got to respect that he was in a situation that wasn't in his favour in the end.
"He came through our academy, is a great person, great player and will know the deck well, so I'm looking forward to seeing him."
The Suns were well beaten by Sydney in the opening round and held a 14-point lead over Essendon in the third quarter on Sunday before falling away late.
Miller isn't daunted by the prospect of facing a winless Geelong.
"The wash-up is we have a positive foundation from the weekend," the midfielder said.
"It's a good time (to play them) ... someone's leaving 1-2 and I want that to be us.
"We're really strong that our brand of football is going to stand up against the reigning premiers.
"No team wants to be 0-2, or 0-1 ... but there's no panic stations, we're not getting frantic about what we are or aren't doing."
