The Phoenix Suns had revenge on their minds when they arrived at TD Garden for their Friday night tilt with the Boston Celtics, and while it looked at several points in the game that the Celtics might spoil that outcome, in the end, a more composed Suns squad from top to bottom outdueled Boston’s starters while the Celtics bench was a no-show.
Only Malcolm Brogdon (12 points, 4 assists) had an impact of note outside of the starters as Phoenix out-defended, out-rebounded, and out-assisted Boston. Solid games from Jaylen Brown (27 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) and Derrick White (19 points, 5 boards) helped keep the Celtics in it on a night where Jayson Tatum (20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) couldn’t hit the sea with a pebble, going 3-for-15 from the field.
