Gold Coast are channelling fit-again Lachie Weller's meditative vibes ahead of a clash with Geelong, where a 0-3 record is the prize for the loser.
Like the Suns, the defending champion Cats will arrive at Heritage Bank Stadium on Sunday still without a win this season.
But Weller, who returned last week from an anterior cruciate ligament tear, doesn't subscribe to the theory that it's the worst time to face them.
"It's always a good time to challenge yourself against the best," the defender said.
"We're looking forward to it; we haven't started the way we want but to be back home in front of fans, what a chance to make a mark.
"We're not panicking ... we know we can challenge it with the best."
Weller's laconic approach appears natural but he says it hasn't always been that way.
The former Fremantle talent, who moved to the Suns in 2018, said time spent rehabilitating his knee proved beneficial for mind and body.
"I was really working hard on my mental game pre-injury," he said.
"So I went into my injury in a pretty good space, but still wanted to learn more about it.
"I didn't waste any time, spent a lot of time with a psychologist, did a Bali meditation retreat.
"I've dealt with a lot of performance anxiety - a lot of players do - and that's something I really addressed and feel really comfortable with now.
"I did things I would never have done and it put me in good stead and rolling out on the weekend, I was really confident."
Sunday's game will mark the return of Suns academy talent Jack Bowes, who was traded to the Cats last season as part of a salary dump.
Wil Powell is back for the Suns, recovered from a nasty ankle injury midway through last season.
Jy Farrar and Mabior Chol could also play after being dropped for the loss to Essendon while Brisbane recruit Tom Berry could also debut.
Tom Stewart has been named for Geelong just two weeks after injuring his knee in a first-round loss to Collingwood while Jonathon Ceglar replaces Rhys Stanley in the ruck.
