Tony Mowbray named an unchanged starting XI for Sunderland's Championship play-off semi-final second leg at Luton Town. The Black Cats boss had injury concerns over Patrick Roberts and Alex Pritchard going into the game after they were both substituted in the final ten minutes in the weekend 2-1 first leg win at the Stadium of Light.
But they recovered in time to start against the Hatters at Kenilworth Road as the Black Cats looked to secure a place in the final at Wembley. Mowbray also included centre-back Aji Alese on the bench for the first time since he suffered a thigh injury in early March.
And full-back Niall Huggins, who made a late appearance as a substitute at the weekend in what was his first outing since picking up an injury at the end of January, was also on the bench once more. Luton boss Rob Edwards also named an unchanged starting XI, sticking with the same team that started on Wearside.
