Sunderland to travel to Watford as planned as tickets go on sale

Sunderland's game against Watford will go ahead as planned following on from last weekend's postponements. Football across the country came to a stop as a mark of respect following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, however this morning the EFL announced the return of the scheduled fixture programme from Tuesday September 13.

This means the Black Cats trip to Vicarage Road on Saturday, 17 September, is set to go ahead as originally planned. There had been talks of the football schedule being postponed for an additional weekend with the funeral of the queen set to take place on Monday, 19 September.

Kick-off will go ahead at 3pm for the clash against the Hornets. Sunderland are able to purchase tickets for that game and more information is available via Watford's website HERE.
