Singer Faye Fantarrow has been diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening brain tumour.
The 20-year-old, who hails from Sunderland, took to social media to explain she was diagnosed with an aggressive glioma brain tumour.
Glioma is a type of tumour that happens in the brain and spinal cord. Gliomas start in the gluey supportive cells that surround nerve cells and help them function.
It can affect your brain function and also be life-threatening depending on the location and the rate of growth.
Tweeting a picture of herself along with an explanation, she said: "So I think I need to finally explain what's been going on with me recently and why I've been inactive on the scene lately.
"At the end of august I was diagnosed with an aggressive glioma brain tumour this came as a complete shock and initially not a very good prognosis regarding my chances of survival, however I am so so fortunate to be surrounded by the most supportive individuals who are refusing to give up on me even through the rimes when I felt like giving up on myself.
"As a result of other peoples tireless work and research I have been accepted on to a medical trial in America that is going to be curative and offer me the chance to continue to be with the people I love, making music for the rest of my life!
Faye continued: "Obviously this is going to require quite a bit of funding which I absolutely hate to ask for under the current climate, I would hugely appreciate it if you would even be able to take a bit of time to visit my go fund me page (link in bio to read more about my story and the treatment that is being offered to me.
"Thank you so so so much and I can't wait to be back to my normal self for you all!!"

She needs to raise over £450,000 to take part in a Stateside clinical trial.
According to the crowdfunding page, Faye was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in September 2010.
The singer underwent two and half years of chemotherapy and lost her hair and mobility.
The leukemia returned in August 2015 and she had to stay in the hospital.
"In September this year, aged just 20, Faye started to feel unwell again," the description read. "After visiting hospital and undergoing scans she was told her life was ending."
The page has raised £120,000 at the time of writing.
