Sunderland have launched their new 1980s-inspired Nike home kit ahead of the 2023-24 Championship season. The Black Cats' shirt is a throwback to the Nike kit worn by the likes of Gary Bennett and Eric Gates between 1983 and 1986.
The shirt features broad red and white stripes on the body, with white shoulders and sleeves with red trim. The home kit will also feature black shorts and red socks.
Sunderland say the home kit will be available for supporters to buy in late-July. The new home kit has been unveiled just hours after the club showed off its neon pink and purple away kit for the forthcoming season.

The away kit will be available from the club's Stadium of Light store and online store from 10am on Wednesday, July 12. Both home and away shirts will be priced at £55 for adults and £45 for juniors.
Home and away mini-kits will be available ahead of the club's pre-season game against Spanish La Liga side RCD Mallora at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, July 29. Sunderland fans will get their first opportunity to see the new home and away kits this weekend as the Black Cats prepare to take on first South Shields and then Gateshead in a pre-season double-header tomorrow.
Tony Mowbray's side begin their friendly programmme when they take on Julio Arca's Mariners at the 1st Cloud Arena in a 12.30pm kick-off, before heading to the International Stadium to face Mike Williamson's Gateshead with kick-off for that game at 4pm.
