Wednesday March 23 marks two years since Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the UK public to stay at home to 'protect the NHS', as the first national lockdown began.
Since March 2020, there has been in excess of 1,075 registered Covid-19 deaths in Sunderland alone.

Sunderland Minister held a service or reflection at 1pm, where yellow ribbons were available to tie on the railings outside, and candles were lit to commemorate loved ones who have lost their lives over the past two years.
