Sunderland defender Danny Batth believes the Black Cats are heading in the right direction ahead of their Monday night clash against West Bromwich Albion.
Batth and co host the Baggies at the Stadium of Light under the lights on Monday evening, with a win likely to vault them into the Championship play-off conversation.
Tony Mowbray's side got their domestic campaign restarted with a superb 3-0 win over Millwall last weekend in what was their first game back in action post-World Cup break.

A win on Monday night would mean Sunderland, who currently sit 11th, have won three games on the spin in the Championship heading into the fixture heavy festive period.
And defender Batth admits he is loving life at the Stadium of Light at the moment and believes the club is heading in the right direction.
"Our home form is going to be really important going forward in the season so we want to keep improving on that in particular," said Batth.
"On Monday night, it’s a great opportunity to do that. I think the main thing is that we are developing as a side all of the time and I am enjoying being a part of that. I like to think that I am putting in good performances and helping other players around me which is something I have always tried to do.
"I love playing at home in front of the support that we’ve got and I’m really enjoying it. I think it’s a great setup and it’s a club moving in the right direction."
Sunderland's next opponents West Brom have endured a frustrating campaign so far this season but have managed to find some recent good form under the newly appointed Carlos Corberan.
While the Baggies sit 22nd in the Championship table after 20 games, they have won their last three fixtures. And Batth reckons the Black Cats are in for a tough test on Monday night when they host the Baggies at the Stadium of Light.
"They’ve definitely improved," added Batth.
"They have got good experienced players. Like most of the games in the Championship, it is going to a tough game but it’s another one we get excited about and we looked forward to."
