A young Scot is facing extradition to America and up 20 years in jail if convicted of a £7million cryptocurrency fraud.

Robert Barr, 24, is charged with scamming the digital cash from a top US Bitcoin broker while he was living with his mum in Ayrshire after an FBI manhunt.

US prosecutors claim the computer whizzkid stole the huge sum from Boston-based cryptocurrency dealer Reggie Middleton and transferred it to another account.

Ambulance bosses step down from campervan side hustle after being exposed

Two senior managers at the Scottish Ambulance Service have quit a camper van hire firm exposed by the Sunday Mail.

We told how leading staff operated the “£8000-a-month side hustle” from the same building as their NHS headquarters at a time when the Army had been called in to support 999 crews.

Billy Kinniburgh, an SAS head of planning and delivery, and manager colleague Kevin Kelly were both previously named on the Companies House website as people with “significant control” over the firm .

Finances could be the key to solving mystery of murdered banker Alistair Wilson

An accountant friend of murdered banker Alistair Wilson believes the key to solving the baffling case is in the dead man’s financial affairs.

Stewart Walker said he is not convinced Police Scotland ’s new focus, a neighbourhood planning row, would have led to the 30-year-old dad being gunned down on his doorstep in Nairn almost 18 years ago.

Stewart said the clue to solving one of Scotland’s biggest murder hunts must lie in Alistair’s own bank accounts.

New Scottish independence poll shows just 29 per cent want referendum by end of 2023

A new Scottish independence poll has shown that less than a third of people want another referendum before the end of 2023.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has repeatedly said she wants to hold another constitutional vote by the end of next year, however according to a survey by Survation 60 per cent are against that timeline.

Just 29 per cent of the 1,050 adults asked between April 29 and May 3 want to see indyref2 happen in the near future.

Young woman found dead in Scots village as police probe 'unexplained' death

Police were called to Learmonth Crescent in West Calder on Saturday evening (GOOGLE)

A young woman has been found dead at a home in West Lothian.

Officers descended on Learmonth Crescent in West Calder just before 7pm on Saturday.

The body of a 26-year-old woman was discovered at a property on the street.
