Sunday had 3 highly unexpected underdog wins

The Week 3 schedule had a bunch of seemingly very lopsided matchups. Matchups likes the Giants and 49ers, Cardinals and Cowboys, Ravens and Colts, Seahawks and Panthers, Chiefs and Bears and also Texans and Jaguars all looked like sure things.

The 49ers took care of business with an 18-point win on Thursday and the Seahawks and Chiefs had double-digit wins in their games.

But three underdogs not only played their tough opponents competitively, they won their games outright.

Texans 37, Jaguars 17

The Texans, who looked dreadful through two weeks, got a huge performance from rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. He passed for 280 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense forced two Jaguars turnovers. It was a blowout win for the Texans.

Colts 22, Ravens 19 (OT)

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns, but he and Kenyan Drake both lost fumbles.

The Colts did not turn the ball over.

Justin Tucker missed a 61-yard field goal at the end of regulation that would have won the game for the Ravens.

Cardinals 28, Cowboys 16

The Cardinals scored 28 points on the Dallas defense that had allowed only 10 through two games. The Arizona defense held the Cowboys to 1-for-5 in the red zone, including an interception and a turnover on downs.

The Cardinals rushed for 222 yards and Josh Dobbs added a touchdown pass without a turnover.
