Sunday Brunch viewers blast guests line-up as many ask 'who are they?'

Viewers of Sunday Brunch were left underwhelmed with the guests on today's (January 15) show. Voicing their opinions on Twitter, many said they had been left wondering who any of the celebrities were.

Joining hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer today were Bristol-based actress Alexandra Roach, former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, comedian and I'm A Celeb contestant Babatunde Aleshe, Strictly star Molly Rainsford and musician and DJ Clint Boon. The stars all took part in regular segments of the show such while also getting to sample the cuisine cooked up for them.

However, despite having recent reality TV stars sat around the show's famous table and sofas, viewers were unimpressed with the standard of the line-up. Criticism was also made of the banter between the guests, which some felt was lower quality than usual.

@Josneat summed up the views of many by tweeting a gif of Ryan Reynolds saying: "Who are they?" She added: "After the guests have been introduced."

Meanwhile, @Clarke4Hadley tweeted: "Some proper weird looking guests on Sunday Brunch today."

The appearance of Boon, who rose to fame as the keyboard player for Inspiral Carpets, left some people amused. @MrPaulRobinson wrote: "Clint Boon is on Sunday Brunch and now I'm just confused."

Another tweeter joked that Boon looked a bit lost. @NathJones16 tweeted: "Clint Boon on Sunday Brunch looking completely lost as the rest talk about toasties. It’s the Sunday morning telly we all crave."

In a rather blunt tweet, @ltt39354118 said: "Haven't a clue who the guest's are."

@stevieweevey was also quite critical of the line-up, while also bemoaning the show's atmosphere. He tweeted: "All them guests on Sunday Brunch but no atmosphere."

Sunday Brunch airs weekly on Sundays on Channel 4 at 9.30am. It is also available to view on 4+1 an hour later on the All 4 on-demand service.
