Sun forecast to shine in Liverpool all day for Eurovision 2023 final

The sun is set to shine on Liverpool in more ways than one this week as Eurovision fans from all corners of the globe flock to the city for the grand finale of the world's most famous international singing competition.

People looking forward to watching live acts on the open-air Eurovision Village stage this week should not have to worry about performances being rained off or spoilt by sudden storms, according to Met Office weather forecasters.

After a Bank Holiday Monday marred by heavy downpours, people will be pleased to know that dry, sunny spells are predicted for the remainder of the week, with chances of precipitation never raising above 10% before Sunday.

Cloudy skies with bursts of sunshine have been forecast for tomorrow, when the second live semi-final, hosted by Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham, and Julia Sanina, will see a further 16 acts compete for a place in the Eurovision finale.

The mild weather is expected to continue on Friday, when Fleur East, Claire Sweeney, Tia Kofi, Scott Mills, and Duncan James will appear on the Everyone's A Winner show, counting down the most successful Eurovision acts who didn’t actually win the big competition.

The grand finale of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday, May 13, following a day of glorious sunshine. According to BBC weather temperatures will reach 19c with a very low 4% chance of rain.
