Former Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere's miserable season continued on Sunday afternoon as Belgium slumped to a 2-0 World Cup defeat to Morocco.
The Belgian, who ended up signing for AC Milan instead of Leeds this past summer, came on off the bench on 75 minutes but was unable to help his country find a way past Morocco.
Roberto Martinez's side will now have to pick up a result against Croatia in their final World Cup group game in order to progress to the knockout stages.

While Leeds were heavily interested in the Belgian international, Serie A champions AC Milan paid €35m for De Ketelaere, who impressed last term at Club Brugge.
During the 2021/22 campaign, the 21-year-old bagged a whopping 18 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances. However, this season, the Belgian ace has yet to find the back of the net for Milan in 18 appearances.
His move to the San Siro has been a disappointment so far, with recent rumours even suggesting Leeds have reached out to AC Milan over De Ketelaere.
While Rodrigo has impressed so far this season in front of goal for the Whites, they could still do with another attacking option. Patrick Bamford's inability to stay fit has left Jesse Marsch and co light up front too often this term, meaning Leeds will almost certainly have to look at signing a forward in the January transfer window.
That said, it would be a rather staggering move for AC Milan to give up on such a talented player just months after he arrived in Italy. While he might not have settled just yet, it's important to remember De Ketelaere is just 21 and will likely need more time to adapt to a new country and team.
