Summer Game Fest 2024: How to watch, what to expect and what is it?

Summer Game Fest 2024 will stream globally this weekend, promising the very latest for all gamers from Friday (June 7).

Organisers have promised world exclusives, never-before-seen trailers, announcements and new game reveals in the event which will be hosted by Geoff Keighley.

Viewers have been told they can expect a two-hour live showcase “featuring updates from the world’s top game development studios” with many favourite names already confirmed to be appearing.

Here is what we know.

When does it start?

Summer Game Fest will stream live this Friday (June 7) and will be filmed from the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, starting at 2pm US time (around 10pm in the UK).

How can I watch?

The event will go live across a number of platforms including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram and X, formerly Twitter. Coverage will begin from 9.30pm UK time but the big announcements will begin later.

Who is confirmed to be appearing?

The event will feature announcements, gameplay, and other reveals from more than 50 giant gaming companies including PlayStation, 2K, Arc Games, Capcom, Blumhouse Games, Electronic Arts, and Netflix.

Also in attendance will be Sega, Party Animals, Warner Bros, Riot Games, and X Box.

Also confirmed to appear at SGF 2024 are Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds plus the first game from Blumhouse Games, the new label from the production company behind the Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and M3GAN movies.
