Summer Celtic transfer target Mateusz Bogusz has sealed a record-breaking move to Mexico.
The Polish forward was widely linked with the Scottish Premiership champions last August, although a move never came to fruition.
Bogusz went on to finish the 2024 season with his now-old club, LAFC, where he registered 20 goals and 11 assists across 40 appearances in all competitions.

After the summer, Celtic never rekindled their interest in the 23-year-old, who has now joined Liga MX side Cruz Azul for $9m, reports Transfermarkt. He will link up with Giorgos Giakmoumakis in Mexico.
The reported fee is the most LAFC have ever received for a player, and puts Bogusz in the top 20 most expensive outgoing MLS transfers in history.
If Celtic wanted their man, they would have had to cough up, although it is only a matter of time before the Portuguese winger makes an emotional return to the club.
The 25-year-old is in Glasgow and set to put pen to paper on a long-term contract, with the deal set to be confirmed imminently.
