free time comedy movie

The ensemble comedy Summer Camp starring Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, and Alfre Woodard is set to hit theaters on May 31, just in time for the warmer weather. The U.S. distribution rights for the comedy feature, written and directed by Castille Landon, have been acquired by Roadside Attractions. The star-studded cast also includes Eugene Levy, Beverly D'Angelo, Dennis Haysbert, Nicole Richie, and Josh Peck.

Summer Camp follows the story of Nora (Keaton), Ginny (Bates), and Mary (Woodard), who have remained close friends since their childhood summer camp days. To prevent drifting apart, the trio decides to attend the camp's upcoming reunion, taking them back to the woods where their friendship began.

Roadside Attractions' co-president negotiated the distribution deal with UTA Independent Film Group and CAA Media Finance on behalf of the filmmakers. The film, produced by Saks Picture Company with financing from Project Infinity, has a stellar production team including Keaton, Alex Saks, Dori A. Rath, Stephanie Heaton-Harris, and Tyler W. Konney.

The co-presidents of Roadside Attractions expressed excitement about the film, highlighting the joy and camaraderie evident in the performances of the talented cast. Director Castille Landon shared her enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the fun and heartfelt nature of Summer Camp and the on-screen chemistry between Keaton and Levy.

Set against the backdrop of an actual summer camp near Asheville, NC, the film promises to deliver a blend of laughter and nostalgia, offering audiences a delightful ode to friendship. With a mix of legendary actors and a captivating storyline, Summer Camp is poised to be a must-watch comedy this season.
