Suge Knight’s son has claimed the late rapper Tupac is “back in the studio” and working on “new music”.

Suge Jacob Knight, also known as Suge J Knight, recently shared an Instagram post reading: “I got Pac back in the studio. New Music coming.”

The younger Knight famously claimed in October last year that Tupac Shakur – who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 1996 at the age of 25 – was still alive and living in Malaysia.

He doubled down on his most recent claims by writing in a follow-up post: “I need the hottest producer to work on a project for Pac”.

Suge Knight – real name Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight Jr – was handed a 28-year prison sentence in October 2018 after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter after killing a man in a hit-and-run.

Shakur had been one of the star artists of Death Row Records, the label co-founded by Knight.

It is credited with helping launch the career of West coast artists such as Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre (also a co-founder with THE DOC).
