Sue Radford was left a 'bit disappointed' after travelling from Lancashire to visit Manchester's Christmas Markets with some of her children.
The mum of Britain's biggest family took a trip to the Markets on Monday (November 21), documenting her experience on social media. Posting on her Instagram stories, the 47-year-old shared picture and videos with some 493,000 followers.
Sue shared a selfie from inside the car with her kids as they wrapped up warm for the visit. Usually, thousands of tourists make the journey to our city to visit the iconic German-inspired markets each year, with shoulder-to-shoulder crowds packed in between stalls.
But The Radford's posted a walk-through video showing a much quieter and empty Manchester markets due to Monday's torrential weather. Sue shared the scene from within the markets saying nothing about her disappointment at this point.
As the four of them walked further through the festive event, the mum-of-22 treated her fans to views of the markets as they passed the decorated food stalls. The family got to the centre of the markets - a usual feat for most visitors who brave the huge crowds - and stopped off to take a look at the ornamental spinning tower with Christmas characters and a spinning top.
At the base of the tower was more stalls of festive drinks and sugary treats. Sue managed to grab herself a mammoth sized hot chocolate during the day trip.
In another Instagram stories post, Sue shared a snap of the large festive mug, adorned with a 'Manchester Christmas Markets' sign and a cheery animated Father Christmas on the front. Inside, Sue didn't scrimp on the trimmings as the mug was piled high with swirling whipped cream and a generous handful of marshmallows on top.
After the warm drink, the family seemingly headed back home and hours later Sue revealed the items - or lack of -she bought from her trip. Sharing an image of a cosy cushion, Sue revealed how it was the only thing aside from another sweet treat that she left the markets with that day, reports LancsLive.
Leaving her feeling 'disappointed', Sue's new cushion features an adorable of a festive dressed sausage dog. The pup wears a Christmas jumper and a Christmas hat plastered against a cream background with the cheery phrase, "Dachshund through the snow" written above it.
Captioning the post, Sue says that despite leaving more empty handed than she'd thought, the day was enjoyable nonetheless. She wrote: "The one thing I bought from the Christmas Market, oh and some fudge.
"Other than that we were a bit disappointed with it tbh (to be honest) but was still lovely to look around."
